13100 State Road 54.
Odessa, FL 33556

Rodney, NJ

Nothing is more quintessential of countryside New Jersey than rolling hills, large wooded properties, and the white fence and gate (Many people have no idea how beautiful Northern Jersey is, especially during the season changes). Rodney's gate is a GateCrafters.com built gate and we are proud to have it adorning such a nice looking estate. Also note how level he has hung his gate, now that is precision you can set your watch to. The choice of the horse and colt ornament adds to the country aesthetic of property, overall a great job and great design choice on their part.

Lyndan, FL

This gate is one built for Lyndan at Ironbend Farm by GateCrafters.com. The gate is well into its 3rd year installed and still looks great. They installed one of the GTO PRO 1000s (now replaced on the site by the SW3000) and that is still ticking away as well. What does Lyndan have to say about the gate? "We bought a gate from Joyce several years ago and are still loving it." Well when we see customers do such great installations, confirming our belief that gate installations really can be DIY with GateCrafters.com's help, than we are "still loving it" too!

Edward, SC

You have got to love the traditional masonry work of southern houses, starting with a property that looks this good makes it easy for us to have a good looking gate. Edward bought a GateCrafters.com dual gate and a Mighty Mule FM502 dual gate opener system. The traditional style of the rings and double bars at the top and bottom of the gate blend well with his property while the palm trees add a little tropical flare. He has done something very intelligent which shows his ingenuity in accident prevention. He has mounted small safety reflectors on his gates so at night people wont drive into them; a very smart addition for dark colored gates and a great final touch on a very professional installation.

Herschell M., Arizona

The Mighty Mule FM 350 is made for application such as this. Here we have a light weight short chain link fence that is in a remote area that will have a low number of openings. Herschell says he had no problems with installations or there after and we can tell by the by-the-book installation of the opener that Herschell probably has very few problems with most of his DIY projects. We are also confident to say that with the Mighty Mule FM350 on the right gate and the help of GateCrafters.com we can have your gate setup looking and working as well as Herschell's.

Sam, FL

Sam bought a gate and gate opener from us. He did a great job on the installation and used posts behind the columns to make gate mounting and opener mounting easier, but we thought that we would let his own words do the talking, the brick columns were already complete including power. Hanging the gate was a piece of cake compared to the other work. This was my first attempt at doing masonry work, and that's why I selected the recommended mounting posts. That was probably the best decision I made regarding the installation. The hinge mounting could have been a big problem without the posts. The gate is controlled with remotes and two key locked pushbuttons.? The masonry work may have been a first attempt but it looks like he has been doing it for years, a true handyman.

Aaron, TX

If when you picture a ranch in Texas and Aaron's ranch does not come to mind then you're never been to Texas! This is a true Texas ranch with the only gate opener made specifically with the Texas rancher in mind AND made in Texas as well; the Apollo 1550. The rugged steel housing of the Apollo and the steel beams of the ranch fencing and gate make for a perfect match, so much so this looks as if it could be a photo shoot for Apollo products. It is no wonder someone with the skills to make a gate and fence look that good can also make a gate opener installation look as if it was set up by the manufacturers themselves.

Dan, CA

This is an interesting, creative solution to a fencing problem; the sloping driveway. This gate is angled on the bottom yet still hung level, taking into account the slope but leaving the gate smooth swinging so it can be automated. The automation is done well too. He used an E-SC 1600 for easy column mounting, which fits nicely on the back face of a column and can accommodate columns of up to 24?with a gate hung in the center.

Gaby, Ontario

Can you see the openers from the outside? Because we sure can’t. They have used an E-SC 1102, one of the sleekest openers on the market and camouflaged it more by painting it the same color as the gate. The paint job has been very well done and paint matched perfectly making it one seamless gate and gate opener system. Everything about this property says perfection; from the perfectly mounted level gates, to the unique style of the home and the expertly manicured landscaping. Overall a great installation we are proud to show off

GMC, Florida

Highly ornamental, this gate looks amazing but must way quite a bit. But with the E-S 1602 it can be automated with tremendous reliability; especially when the units are installed so well. GMC is a professional installation company in Florida and by the looks of the job they do they will be in business a long time.

Greg & Theresa, Idaho

Baldy Mountain Ranch is now outfitted for security and style. They have chosen not to automate their gate but it looks impressive all the same. You can imagine the feeling guest get when they show up the ranch, the majestic wood columns towering over them and a finely constructed gate between. This tells anyone they have arrived at a place with prestige and style.

Mike

Mike bought gates and posts fro gatecrafters.com. If only we had a camera there to film the whole installation, I’m sure we could have all learned a lot because the final results are flawless. The posts are perfectly plumb and level. The gates meet just a half inch from each other in the center and, despite the slope at the edge of the driveway, match up flawlessly vertically. When you think of the saying, done to a "T", this is the installation that comes to mind; everything square and level.

Debbie, Indiana

This highly decorative gate, a GateCrafters.com built gate, is automated using solar power. The solar opener Debbie has chosen to install is the top solar opener available, the Apollo. Apollos are the only opener built with solar specifically in mind. As you can see by the photo the Apollo blends well with the with the setup and is barely noticeable from the outside. The overall installation is clean, well balanced, professional...another example of a DIY success.

Cooper

This is by far one of the most creative gates we have come across. The house this gate welcomes is sure to be home to some very artistic people. And when that much effort is put into the look and style of a gate, only the most unobtrusive opener will do. That is why they have chosen the E-S 1102, one of the smallest bodied openers on the market. Also take note of how they found a creative spot for the positive stop, even on the sleekest of forms, function can find a home.

Karen & Kevin, Texas

On these striking all-wood privacy gates the heavy-duty E-S 1602 was used to automate them. As you can see from the outside picture, the gates blend pleasantly with the surroundings of the house. Since the gate is a solid gate it still runs the risk of obstructing in the wind, but using the E-S 1602 was a smart choice as the added amperage pull of a large gate will not draw down on a battery like in most DC openers (the E-S 1602 is constant duty and runs off the transformer directly)

Dail, Arizona

Dail in Arizona has used an Estate Swing E-S 1102 gate opener in this solar application. This gate is true to the state it is in and is an ornamental sculpture more than a barrier. In general E-S 1102s are not used solar but because of the openers versatility and ease of use; someone with a little patience and know-how can make just about any situation work with the right equipment. And as you can see from the gate, Dail is a very talented person to begin with.

Arnold, Ohio

Arnold's gate is a small push-to-open dual gate equipped with E-S 1102 dual gate openers. As you can see these gates are designed for privacy and with the addition of 1102 openers they now have convenience too. He has used a small piece of wood as a closed positive stop and brought the bottom of the gate down to meet it. This allows for a smaller stop in the driveway and less of an obstacle for incoming vehicles.

Bob Loftus

Bob Loftus built this beautiful a pair of double swing gate for his home. He built everything from scratch including welding the gates together and digging the massive 6 ft deep by 3 ft diameter holes for the I-beam supports. The arches in the gates are all cut by hand and welded to form the curves. He has automated the gates using Pro 2000 gate openers. The project took a total for about three months to complete and he has gotten and continues to get compliments from everyone who drives by!

James, Florida

James's property is donning one of GateCrafters.com's gates as well as gate openers. They are very well hung, perfectly level, using our 3x3 steel posts and heavy-duty adjustable hinges. Gold and black are the most popular color combination we have and James proves stars on your gate are not only for Texas.

John H., Texas

On this attractive gate John had someone fabricate the gate frame and weld it on the 4x4 post; he did all the other work himself. Dig post holes, drill and set bracket holes and bolts, paint the post and gate, build the gate pickets and fence panels and of course, install the gate opener and etc. He used the push to open option to have the gate open out onto my drive. He set the closing bracket in the masonry of the side of his house. He installed the electronic lock kit and it works great. He placed an old tin star on the gate and rigged a light behind it, at night the star glows from behind. He ran a simple opener switch to inside the garage but I also have two keypads, one just outside the garage and one just outside the gate. A great installation down to the last detail.

Unknown

This Pro SL 2000 sliding gate opener was sold to one of our customers in Central America. Design is clearly a top priority for this family's home. One of the best features of this gate is way the gate blends as a part of the entrance as a whole and not just barrier for the driveway. From the exterior the gate opener is not visible and as you can see from the inside shot, using a sliding gate makes use of the tall fence and limited space of the front yard.

Matthew, California

This customer has a dual privacy gate leading to the back of their property. The gate is quite some distance off the ground and had to find a different way to utilize positive stops. They attached an angled bracket to one of the posts and a flat plate on the end of the gate for the opposite gate to hit. This worked very well in their situation as they have short gates that can be stopped by the angled bracket (longer gates may put too much pressure). This shows some of our customers' innovativeness and is the true meaning of being a Do-it-Yourselfer." (use the attached pics with description)

Bill, Arizona

Bill has done a great job on both the setup of his gate and gate opener. Bill took an ordinary chain link fence and put custom facing on it to make it into an effective security/privacy fence. Using a gate opener from Gate Crafters, Bill has added convenient on to the to the many other benefits of a well-crafted gate like his.

Bill, Nevada

This dual solar setup up is perfect for sunny Nevada as well as many other parts of the country. Bill has blended well the architecture of his gate and wings with his gate opener. Also the solar panel is nicely placed to receive the maximum amount of sun available.

Clarence, Texas

The horizontal cross members of this gate are perfectly set up to adapt to a gate opener. The opener has been installed very level for a smooth motion, and with a gate lock Clarence has added security and closed position protection from windstorms.

Don, California

Don has done a great job of finding his 4 ½ x 4 ½ setback and making it work. Columns are sometimes tough to mount to without a PRO® 2000, but Don has made it work well. He found the right setback on the inside face of his column instead of reaching out from the back like in most installations. This is a great display of the ingenuity of our customers and the versatility of our openers.

Georgia

In a clearly rural setting like this, solar is a must because of the lack of access to a power supply. With this set up in Georgia, the solar panel was placed on to of the post to allow it sunlight from more angles.

Gerard, New York

We have included a couple of pictures of Gerard’s set up because of the professional look and also the originality of the design. First, Gerard has bought both his gate and gate opener from Gate Crafters. To his entrance a much cleaner and organized look, Gerard has mounted his control box around the corner in a custom casing he has created. By doing a little extra work he has made the gate opener part of the design rather than something to hide; also leaving the control box easily accessible for later adjustments to functional settings.

In the night picture you can see Gerard has lit up his gate. Not only does this look amazing, but it also prevents people from not seeing the black gate against the nighttime backdrop. In the lower corner of the night shot you will see another creative innovation done by Gerard. He has installed a video/intercom inside a mailbox for guests. This is a great way to house an expensive unit safely, while blending well with his property. It keeps vandals from stealing expensive video equipment, rain from damaging it, and the unit itself from taking away from the looks of the property; it is an all around great idea.

Jim, California

This is a great example of a professionally crafted cantilevered slide gate. The gate itself is suspended off the ground by cantilever hardware, which is the recommended method for sliding gates with gate openers. The gate opener itself Jim has placed behind two fences, one from the driveway and one from the road. This prevents tampering and also keeps curious children from exploring the opener.

Jim, Indiana

Jim has used a curved support crossbar to reinforce his gate-mounting bracket. This is sometimes necessary for curved cross members and Jim has done an excellent job on his gate. This will insure that he gets the performance and life that he expects out of his opener.

John, North Carolina

The FM250 is the perfect operator for john. He lives in a quiet, safe neighborhood so security is not a concern, he just wanted a gate to keep the ducks out of the driveway and have a convenient way of opening and closing it. The 250 was the right choice, John did a great job of installing it and it blends nicely with the surrounds.

Julie, California

Julie’s gate is definitely a long one, so she went with the PRO® 2000, the right choice. She used a curved support crossbar to reinforce his gate-mounting bracket on the round steel tubing. With a heavy-duty opener like the PRO® 2000 this was a wise decision to get the longest life out of her gate and also looks very professional.

Justin, Texas

Justin has done a great job blending his opener with the gate. He is using an automatic gate lock for security and wind resistance, but has painted it black to match his gate. The set up is very neat and clean, showing the same dedication Justin has obviously committed to the rest of his property.

Paul, California

Paul has a complete and thorough gate security and access control package. He has adapted the automatic gate lock to match the look of his gate, which also provides security and wind resistance. Out front is a nicely placed keypad on a gooseneck stand for easy access for friends and family. Off to the right you can see the creative mounting of a solar panel, providing all the power needed to operate his gate.

Richard, Washington

Richard has a PRO 1002 Dual Gate setup. To accommodate the positive stops realistically and aesthetically Richard has used a stainless steal commercial doorstop in his driveway. This doesn’t take away from the appearance of his yard and gives his the maximum effectiveness. A great solution for a mid driveway positive stop.

Robert, Florida

Robert has one of the most level and neatly installed openers we’ve seen. If you look closely after the arm you will see the wire running to the automatic gate lock. Kept close to the gate frame, it poses no distraction or potential for snags.

Robert, Texas

This in one of the top Push-to-Open installations we have seen. The measurements are geometrically perfect and the painted brackets look great. He has found the perfect placement for the post mounting brackets without disrupting the look and operation of his gate.

Sam, Tennessee

Sam has security, convince and access control all wrapped into one. He has utilized an automatic gate lock to secure his gate and a digital keypad placed on a post in the background for guests and family all controlled by the PRO 1000.

Sandra, North Carolina

Besides have an aesthetically stunning gate, Sandra also has a very convenient setup. Using solar power (on top of the post) she has eliminated the need to run power to charge her opener. This makes for an easy installation and a system that is reliable and cost efficient.

Steve, New Jersey

White picket fences are time-tested tradition in style. Steve has used the FM250 to automate his gate. With a lightweight gate like his, the FM 250 was a great choice and will serve him well for years to come.

Steve, Florida

Steve has utilized a cross member additional support for his gate. This will ensure the repeated pulling on the gate from that point will not over stress the frame of the gate. The FM700 works great in rural and urban situations and looks right at home on Steve’s gate because of the quality job Steve has done on his installation.

Todd, Colorado

The gate on the right is set up with an FM250. When installed nicely like Todd has done, the opener looks natural in its surroundings. When compared with the gate next door there is very little visible difference, but the actual difference in convenience is huge considering Todd will never have to leave his car again to open his gate.

Tom, Tennessee

Tom has done a great job of making custom alterations to his gate and property to fit the opener into the surrounds and make it as effective as possible. First, he has created custom wood enclosure for his controls box; blending it nicely while leaving it accessible for control board changes. In the second picture you can see the great precision and care put into creating mid-driveway positive stops. The installation overall is picture perfect as well as functionally sound.

Robert, Arizona

Robert has created a very secure location without giving up convenience to those how need easy access. He has used both the automatic gate lock, painted black to match his gate, and the pin locks to secure his gate and arms. If this alone doesn't say do not trespass, than surely the beware of dogs sign takes care of the rest.

Robert, Georgia

This is the ideal application for the FM250. A rural location with power available within 1000' on a light weight, chain link fence. Robert has done an excellent job identifying his needs, acquiring the appropriate arm, and has done a great job with the installation.

Mike, Ohio

Mike has a very professional setup. All equipment is neatly mounted to a board. This not only cleans up the look of the area but also prevents people passing by from locating his control box.

Gary, Washintmn

Gary has a very notable setup for his gate. He has customized his gate with 12 volt lights. This really sets it off at night, and are activated by an electric eye at dark. Thus creating a safe atmosphere for approaching drivers.

Ted, California

Ted has done a excellent job landscaping his property. from the tiled driveway to the stone fountain his yard exudes class and style. He has finished it off with the convenience of a gate opener. To better match the opener arms with the gate he has painted the outer arm black, blending it with the rest of the gate.

Larry & Donna, Florida

Larry & Donna have a Pro 1000 with an automatic gate lock. For security purposes they have a door bell installed to fence section in the upper left hand corner of the skirting section with numbers. This announces visitors are at the gate, then with a video camera that is mounted in the window that faces the gate they view who is approaching, allowing them to give access to the property or ignore unwanted visitors.

Chris, Alabama

Along with the dual gate openers, Chris is showing off his four-legged security devices? This set-up demonstrates the versatility of the openers, despite the lack of a middle cross member he has still found a secure location for the arm to attach without having to disrupt the form and design of the gate.

Norman, Texas

Norman has created a automatic gate perfect for his situation. The gate opener set up was done with such quality and precision it exemplifies every step in the installation manual.

Bob, Texas

Bob's gate looks right at home with the FM700. He has given extra attention to the wiring. Although the wiring does not require conduit Bob shows how a little work above and beyond the necessary goes a long way. The black conduit he has run gives his setup a clean, professional look and also protects it from the elements.

P.B.C. Services, Inc, Louisiana

P.B.C. Services has demonstrated their ingenuity and resourcefulness. They have taken a standard slide gate and made minimal alterations to set it up for use as an automated slide gate. They have added on an extra piece of tubing to the end to acquire the correct span for correct chain usage and made it look as if it were meant to be part of the gate.

Craig, Texas

Craig has created the classic western with the convenience of modern technology. The digital keypad is housed in a wood casing to blend it to its surroundings. He has mounted the solar panel atop a post that is clear and free of obstructions enabling him to power his gate without having to run wire over a vast space.

Robert & Teresa, Virginia

Robert & Teresa have a beautiful dual gate set up. Not only does the fencing flow seamlessly into the gates but they have added the convenience of gate openers without disrupting the look of their landscape. The arms are mounted perfectly symmetrical, a proud display work done with care and precision.

Perry, Iowa

To automate his new 10?gate Perry decided to use the FM 250. This has created incredible convenience for Perry and his wife while giving him the peace of mind that his grandchildren are safely playing in the yard.

Carlos, California

Carlos has done a great job of accommodating the 4 ½ x 4 ½ set back. He has cut out a small notch in his brick columns to give the arm proper room to reach the appropriate leverage point. And he has done it so resourcefully that it looks like it was originally built into his column.

Mike, Kentucky

Mike is keeping his dogs in and keeping all unwanted visitors out. The sturdy gate combined with the automatic gate lock sends a clear message this gate isn't going anywhere unless Mike or his family decides it is. He has also bypassed the hassle of wiring by using solar power.

John, Utah

John has done some master planning and wiring to make his gate as convenient as possible. The red button below the keypad is a bell the rings both inside the house and outside for unexpected visitors that don't have a code. The gate is set to close after 45 seconds. John has another button on an inside post that is 30 feet from the gate that will allow visitors to open gate and exit. There is also a hardwired SPDT switch in the house to open/close the gate or open and keep open for expected visitors. Every possible scenario is covered.

Jason, Georgia

Rural areas like Jason's are the perfect spot for a FM700. Jason has used the power already at his gate for the lights to power the opener. He has very professionally mounted his arm and used all the appropriate safety warnings. The digital keypad always added convenience for guests without transmitters.

Don, Texas

This was a unique installation and very creative. Don needed extra room for his opener arm set back, so he fashioned an addition horizontal hole in his fencing to allow the arm room to swing. The hole was so well constructed, as you can see from the picture, that it looks like the fence was made to be that way.

Craig, Louisiana

As you can see in the photo, Craig utilized the horizontal cross pole of his gate to mount his opener arm. According to Craig the installation process only took 4-5 hours and it has worked well ever since. Craig has produced professional results and incredible convenience for himself.

Bill, North Carolina

Bill has provided us two photos to see the full range of his opener system installation. On the front end he has done a great job of blending the keypad stand with the gate creating a uniform look to his entrance. On the back of the gate you can see his utilization of two diagonal cross poles as mounting points. This is an excellent method for gates without horizontal cross bars. It allows the arm to be mounted without disturbing the sleek form of the gate. The end result is a functional set up that looks natural with its surroundings.

John

John has a great setup for an Estate Swing E-S 1102 Dual Gate Opener. They work real well on light weight gates like John¡¯s chain link gates pictured here. John has put a gate lock on the two leafs to keep his property lock up and secured. The gate lock releases with the gate opener (this one happens to be mounted so perfectly we should send this to that manufacturer to use as a product photo ¨C well done). As you can see in the second picture his control boxes and are organized nice and neat blending perfectly into the gate setup with conduit and a neighboring electrical box.

Ed, CA

Ed did a great job setting up his gate opener and according to him made quick work of this project ¨C under 4 hours! One of the things I like about his setup the most is it seems that he has mounted his control box under the porch, keeping it safe and secure from tampering. You can see the receiver mounted up on the side of the house from the boxes location below. Very clean ¨C very professional looking.

Dennis, HI

Life is a breeze with a view like Dennis has, Hawaii can be quite the sight to see. Dennis has set up his tropical property with a GTO / PRO SW1500 used solar. Hawaii is obviously a great candidate for solar operation which Dennis says works out real well for him. If you can stop looking at the mesmerizing blue long enough to look at the end of the arm you will notice the pin lock at the end of the arm ¨C this is used to keep people from removing the clevis pin and swinging the gate open. All in all I would say Dennis is good at both handy work and photography, we enjoy seeing both.

Bob and Cindy, ME

This installation is professional top to bottom. Inviting yet elegant the masonry work is impeccable along with the gate being hung perfectly. The customer has used a drop rod to hold the gates in place in the closed position. The flowers also add nice contrast in the crisp green forest environment ¨C really making the entranceway pop.

Chris, FL

This customer has gotten both their gates and the openers from GateCrafters.com. The brown is a great selection for their house¡¯s motif and is one of our custom paint color choices. They have chosen the ever dependable GTO/PRO brand for their gates. Utilizing our easy to install hinge plates they were able to use their choice of wood posts, rather than getting steel posts from us. Between the easy access, eye catching gate, and perfect install we¡¯re sure their house is the buzz of the neighborhood.

Ron, HI

The foliage and the palm trees on the gate say it all ¨C you are now in paradise. They have chosen to use one of our gates painted green to nicely match the surroundings. Because all Gate Crafters gates are automation ready they have chosen a smart route for security and convenience. Not yet ready for automation, they have simply installed a Bulldog Automatic Pedestrian Gate Lock. This gate lock can be used with keypads or push buttons and allows pedestrians to automatically lock and unlock the gate. When they are ready for automation the gate will need no adjustments because it is a Gate Crafters gate and the gate lock can be used in conjunction with any gate opener. A smart move for safety and dual purpose without waste.

Jack, AZ

This is quite the aesthetically pleasing installation. He did exactly what our concept is with the E-SC 1602, the cover is able to be painted to match your columns, making the entire operator system barely noticeable. From the front view you can hardly notice an opener at all ¨C which isn¡¯t that really the point ¨C automation without visual distraction. The other good concept he came up with is a reflector on the GateCrafters Keypad stand. This way at night you don¡¯t have any mishaps. All around excellent installation, Jack has the home improvement thing down pat.

Tom, HI

Defiantly a grand ranch entrance. The massive beams not only provide an impressive site as you enter the property but also act as supports for the gates, keeping them level and swinging easy. He has the gate powered by a GTO/PRO 3002 gate opener. Between the striking property, a great gate opener system like the GTO/PRO 3002 and the Hawaii scenery I think we can all agree this would be a wonderful place to hang your hat.

Mike, NY

Despite a narrow drive, Mike has put up an automated gate; and has made it look awesome. The E-SC 1102 is a great choice for such small gates the 1100 series openers are shorter arms that can be gentler on vinyl gates and short gates. He has painted his openers to match his gate which is a nice touch and makes it look like the gate and opener were made to be used together. We have also displayed the inventive way he has installed a positive stop for the closed position. A positive stop allows the gate to close snug and aligned. The rounded stainless positive stop looks great and won¡¯t harm tires that drive over.

Mark, FL

A well planned project means perfect results. You can tell Mark knew what he was doing: the columns he built are very large and majestic yet the gate was placed near the rear edge to avoid troubles with the gate opener. Placing gates in the center of columns is a common pitfall that can be avoided by knowing what your gate opener requires for a setback. You may have been admiring the column work and driveway as we were, Mark says it took a few weekends but it goes to show with good planning, a little know-how and patience you too can have a professional looking entrance like Mikes.
